We’re on the lookout for a talented PPC Marketing Manager to join our paid social team at Platypus Digital.
In this role, you’ll work with some of the UK’s most inspiring charities, such as Dementia UK, Mental Health Foundation, and Amnesty International. You’ll help them achieve their goals through impactful paid social campaigns, enabling them to maximise their reach and make a real difference.
You will lead on data-driven strategies, planning, and execution, delivering optimised campaigns that align with client objectives and agency standards. In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and supporting integrated cross-channel strategies.
As a manager, you will lead by example, coaching two team members and fostering their development. You’ll play a key role in creating a collaborative, high-performing team environment where everyone’s contributions drive success.
You’ll also have the option to dedicate 10% of your billable time to pro bono projects, using your expertise to support charities in ways that go beyond your usual responsibilities, broadening your impact and perspective.

Location: We have a hybrid working set up with a coworking space in London Bridge. Most of the team mostly work from home and come in to work together and to meet clients a few times a month. We are not accepting remote only applications for this position.
Role type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £47,800 to £52,000 if you live in London, £44,800 to £49,000 plus £3,000 travel allowance if you live outside. New starters begin at the start of the range and are eligible for a stage review within their level after six months.

What you will do
As PPC Marketing Manager (paid social), you’ll create powerful paid social campaigns for our inspiring charity clients.
Imagine developing a campaign for Amnesty International UK that raises awareness of critical human rights issues and drives meaningful action. You’ll design innovative advertising strategies, lead planning and execution across platforms like Meta Ads, and deliver optimised campaigns that make a measurable impact.
Working with charities like Young Lives vs Cancer, you’ll shape ads that connect emotionally and inspire action, driving crucial donations to support young people and their families. Through your expertise in audience targeting, budget management, and performance analysis, you’ll ensure every campaign exceeds expectations.
You’ll oversee campaigns for organisations like the Mental Health Foundation, helping their messages reach hundreds of thousands of people across the UK. By analysing performance and sharing actionable insights, you’ll ensure their campaigns contribute to real change in mental health awareness.
Collaboration is key in this role. You’ll work closely with your two direct reports and teams across the agency, transforming data into actionable insights and creative strategies. Together, you’ll refine workflows, optimise processes, and ensure every campaign is flawlessly executed—delivering exceptional results that truly change lives.

Campaign strategy and delivery
- Lead the development and execution of Meta Ads (and other paid social channels) campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives set by clients and the agency.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for optimisation and exceed client expectations and KPIs.
- Oversee the entire campaign lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
- Provide clear, actionable insights through robust reporting processes that align with client goals.
- Manage campaign budgets with precision, including monitoring, cost estimation, and reconciliation.
- Foster a ‘test and learn’ culture to enhance performance and drive innovation through experimentation.
Process excellence and team development
- Manage and mentor two direct reports, supporting their growth, encouraging collaboration, and enabling high performance.
- Share expertise by delivering paid social training to internal teams and clients, enhancing skills and understanding.
- Continuously refine processes for campaign briefing, planning, pacing, auditing, optimisation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflows and elevate the quality of campaign delivery.
Client relationships and collaboration
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering actionable recommendations that drive success.
- Partner with the COO to identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and cross-channel collaboration, including services such as Google Ads, SEO, and data.
- Stay informed of industry trends, integrating cutting-edge technologies and best practices to ensure the agency leads in paid social strategies.

Key skills and experience
Essential
- Proven expertise in Meta Ads, including paid social campaign planning, execution, and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of tracking pixels, UTM parameters, and implementing basic code for tracking.
- A passion for creating impactful work that drives positive societal change.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign data and deliver actionable insights.
- Experience managing digital campaigns or fundraising initiatives within a charity or working in an agency environment.
Nice to have but not essential
- Meta certifications (individual or agency-level).
- Familiarity with collaborative tools like Asana for project management.
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as Supermetrics and Google Sheets for advanced analysis.
