The Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) is an organisation working with insurance companies to provide services to victims of hit-and-runs or uninsured drivers.
But they struggled to raise awareness and engage with their target audience and were facing some challenges in building up their social media strategy.
Their content focused on finding and punishing uninsured drivers, which made it difficult to strike the right tone.
MIB also lacked a dedicated social media team and relied on a distributed management approach across various team members.
What we did
Platypus did a thorough review of MIB’s social media presence.
Our team identified areas for improvement in content delivery and internal processes.
We provided recommendations on audience targeting, content creation, and channel selection to better align with MIB’s goals.
Our team also provided content pillars to categorise and organise MIB’s content, making it more user-friendly.
We also help them improve their internal challenges through streamlining of processes around content, workshops and internal communications and sign off.
Throughout the project, we maintained a close working relationship with MIB. So when we presented our findings and recommendations to a diverse group of stakeholders, from content creators to heads of teams, we were confident that all levels of the organisation were aligned with the new social media strategy
The results
* MIB’s team was really happy with the social media review and recommendations Platypus provided.
* The charity immediately implemented some of our suggestions, like using content pillars and establishing a daily content discovery cycle.
* Our recommendations helped the MIB team open the door to conversations about brand alignment
“Platypus’ social media review was incredibly useful for us. It helped us identify areas for improvement and provided practical recommendations that we could implement right away. The team’s expertise and collaborative approach made the process smooth and very enjoyable!”
